March 12, 2014

Expanding on the interfaces supported by the DataParser, 17a-4 is developing their DataParser software to include support for Microsoft’s SharePoint Online. The DataParser for SharePoint Online will format data for capture by all of the major archive solutions.

Millbrook, NY- 17a-4’s DataParser, the leading software tool to capture Lync Online, will support the capture of SharePoint Online. This complementary interface allows regulated institutions to use all of Microsoft’s cloud solutions and still comply with requirements. The DataParser software is designed for compliance as a cost-effective solution to capture data from many sources and apply formatting to correspond to an existing email archive. The DataParser manages the ingestion of that content into the archive and creates a single point of compliance management, discovery and supervisory procedures.
Microsoft’s SharePoint Online delivers the powerful features of SharePoint without the associated overhead of managing the infrastructure. SharePoint Online is available from Microsoft in the cloud as a standalone offering or as part of an Office 365 suite. The DataParser leverages SharePoint event handlers to capture additions and changes to content and discussion lists. It incorporates appropriate site and list information into either meta or x-headers fields and provides administrative features to monitor sites ensuring appropriate content is being captured. The DataParser provides customized formatting of the output email files it produces using specially formatted XML files that can be used to customize nearly every field within the email.
17a-4’s software products are designed to meet the regulatory and e-Discovery needs of corporate clients. The DataParser is a lightweight, middle-ware product that integrates easily into many different archive architectures and configurations including: Symantec’s EnterpriseVault, EMC’s SourceOne, HP’s Autonomy, IBM Corporation’s FileNet and many others. Clients can leverage the DataParser in conjunction with their archive, whether in house or hosted, to become compliant with SEC, FINRA and other regulatory requirements or corporate policies.
