DataParser for Salesforce Quip is now available

May 13, 2019

Announcing the General Availability of the Quip DataParser.  The new module supports collection of Salesforce Quip documents and chat data.

Millbrook, NY – 17a-4’s DataParser now supports Salesforce Quip.  DataParser is a leading compliance solution to collect third party data for retention in a compliance archive.  Quip is Salesforce’s cloud-based content collaboration platform that combines documents, spreadsheets, chats, task lists and more in one seamless experience.  The Quip DataParser is now available.

“We continue to be focused on development to offer compliant solutions for users to communicate and collaborate using the very latest systems and features available on the market” said Charles Weeden, Managing Partner of 17a-4.

The Quip DataParser collects the documents, tables, links, chats, users, mentions and more.  This new module will ensure Quip messaging compliance just as with Teams, Skype Online, Yammer, Cisco Jabber, Symphony, Thomson Reuters Eikon Messenger, Bloomberg, HipChat and all other DataParser supported data sources.

DataParser maintains the integrity of the original messaging or collaboration content and preserves the ‘chain of custody’ through to the destination archives.  It has no impact on the collected data source networks or destination archives; chat users’ activities are not disrupted by the DataParser’s processes and compliance officers do not have to make changes to eDiscovery procedures.  All major archiving technologies are supported allowing clients to leverage in house resources and keep compliance costs to a minimum.  VMs are supported, including AWS and Azure.  Message delivery options include the ability to send into an archive, to a file location or a mailbox in Exchange or Office 365.  The DataParser can also deliver to the third-party data endpoint for clients using Security & Compliance retention features in Office 365.
