New Versions of DataParser for Yammer, Symphony, Jabber, Teams and More Now Available

June 26, 2019

Millbrook, NY – 17a-4 is releasing new versions of DataParser modules including Bloomberg, Symphony, Slack, Blackberry, Jabber and more. DataParser is a leading compliance solution to collect third party data for retention in an archive. 17a-4 is releasing the new versions for improvements to processes, additional features and new collected data types.

“We are consistently developing new versions for process improvements and when data source providers make new features available. Clients can also request feature enhancements and, if possible, we will include those in the next version of the module. We will then work with the IT, Compliance and Legal teams through testing to ensure the interface is updated as requested,” said Charles Weeden, Managing Partner of 17a-4.

New versions are being released for the following interfaces:

  • Bloomberg
  • Jabber
  • Yammer
  • Thomson Reuters Eikon Messenger
  • Symphony
  • Slack
  • Blackberry
  • Microsoft Teams & Skype Online

Clients that do not have auto-updates enabled will be contacted by 17a-4 to schedule a manual upgrade.

DataParser has no impact on the collected data source networks or destination archives; chat users’ activities are not disrupted by the DataParser’s processes and compliance officers do not have to make changes to eDiscovery procedures. All major archiving technologies are supported allowing clients to leverage in house resources and keep compliance costs to a minimum. VMs are supported, including AWS and Azure. Message delivery options include the ability to send into an archive, to a file location or a mailbox in Exchange or Office 365. The DataParser can also deliver to the third-party data endpoint for clients using Security & Compliance retention features in Office 365.
