17a-4 announces DataParser for Slack.  DataParser clients can now bring Slack communications into any compliance archive.

Millbrook, NY – 17a-4, a software and services company enabling regulated clients to comply with SEC, FINRA and CFTC requirements, has announced its widely used DataParser now integrates with Slack.  DataParser is the leading on-premise compliance solution to collect regulated data for retention in an archive.  Slack is a cloud-based messaging app that unifies communications and enables workflows.  Slack is the leading global collaboration hub, where teams connect with the people and the apps they work with everyday to get work done.  It’s an operating system connecting teams with real-time messaging, tools and services that facilitate optimal workflows and searchable company archives.

“We are delighted to announce DataParser support for Slack.  We continually develop the DataParser to support the communication tools our client’s use to drive business,” said Charles Weeden, Managing Partner, 17a-4 LLC.

This new module of the DataParser for Slack will ensure messaging compliance just as with Microsoft Skype for Business, Cisco Jabber, Thomson Reuters Eikon Messenger, Bloomberg, HipChat, InvestEdge, FactSet and all other supported data sources.

DataParser has no impact on the collected data source networks or destination archives; chat users’ activities are not disrupted by the DataParser’s processes and compliance officers do not have to make changes to eDiscovery procedures.  All major archiving technologies are supported allowing clients to leverage in house resources and keep compliance costs to a minimum.  VMs are supported, including AWS and Azure.  Message delivery options include the ability to send into an archive, to a file location or a mailbox in Exchange or Office 365.  The DataParser can also deliver to the third-party data endpoint for clients using Security & Compliance retention features in Office 365.

17a-4 is continually developing new modules and adding features to the DataParser roadmap.  Clients can request feature enhancements and new interfaces and 17a-4 will work with the IT, Compliance and Legal teams through Beta testing to enhance the interface as requested.
