Microsoft 365 Connectors

Microsoft 365 lets administrators use data connectors to import and archive non-Microsoft, third-party data from social media platforms, instant messaging platforms, and document collaboration platforms, to mailboxes in your Microsoft 365 organization.

As a long-time partner to Microsoft, we’ve worked closely with the Microsoft Connectors team to develop support for sending DataParser supported data sources into M365 archive.

As with all archive partners, DataParser ensures all data being sent into the archive is indexable and searchable via typical eDiscovery queries such as keywords/lexicons, time/date stamps and file names.

Overview of DataParser for Microsoft 365

All DataParser supported platforms can be ingested into Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance to ensure that your organization’s non-Microsoft data is in compliance with the regulations and standards that affect your organization. One primary benefit of using data connectors to import and archive third-party data in Microsoft 365 is that you can apply various Microsoft 365 compliance solutions to the data after it’s been imported. Retention Policies, Content Search, Communications Compliance and Advanced eDiscovery can all be applied to any DataParser supported data source such as Zoom, Slack, Webex and Symphony.  Bring all your chats and documents into M365 to streamline compliance management and create a unified archive.

Watch this interactive guide that demonstrates how to create data connectors to import and archive third-party data and examples of applying compliance solutions to data after it’s imported to Microsoft 365.

Common Questions

How does it work?

DataParser is configured by 17a-4 Support to connect to your Slack, Zoom, Webex or other chat or collaboration system to automatically collect your data and send it into M365. Once in M365, retention and supervision policies can be applied to the data and eDiscovery procedures can be followed, just like the emails and other items in the M365 archive.
