DataParser for Microsoft Teams is now available

April 18, 2018

Announcing the General Availability of the Teams DataParser.  The new module supports the collection of Microsoft Teams chats and channels.

Millbrook, NY – 17a-4’s DataParser for Microsoft Teams is now available.  DataParser is the leading on-premise compliance solution to collect regulated data for retention in an archive.  Microsoft Teams is the new Office 365 chat-based workspace and hub for teamwork.

“We are focused on development to offer compliant solutions for users to communicate using the very latest systems and features available on the market.  Teams is another great addition to our ever-expanding Office 365 module set.” said Charles Weeden, Managing Partner of 17a-4.

The Teams DataParser supports collection of all chats, team channels and chat bots including memes, emojis, images and bold or other formatted text.  The messages are processed into EMLS as threaded conversations and include all user and timestamp data.  This latest module ensures Teams messaging compliance just as Symphony, Cisco Jabber, Skype Server, Skype Online, Yammer, Thomson Reuters Eikon Messenger, Bloomberg, HipChat and all other DataParser supported data sources.

DataParser has no impact on the collected data source networks or destination archives.  Users activities are not disrupted by the DataParser’s processes and reviewers or compliance officers do not have to make changes to their e-discovery procedures.  All major archiving technologies are supported allowing clients to leverage in house resources and keep compliance costs to a minimum.  VMs are supported, including AWS and Azure.  Message delivery options include the ability to send into an archive, to a file location or a mailbox in Exchange or Office 365.  The DataParser also allows for integration with Active Directory to specify user groups to be collected.

17a-4 is continually developing new modules and adding features to the DataParser roadmap.  Clients can request a feature enhancement or new interface and 17a-4 will work with the IT, Compliance and Legal teams through Beta testing to enhance the interface as requested.
