Daily collection of chats, meetings and files is the typical use case for DataParser but when a client comes onboard, we often find they have accumulated data since rolling out the communication system and now need to ingest the backlog of users’ data into their archive or storage systems. Some data source vendors will keep data indefinitely so these data sets can get quite large.
We recently completed a successful project for a prominent global growth equity firm headquartered in New York City.
Details of The Project Engagement
• 1,000+ users of Slack
• 10+ years of data
• Process 2 TBs into M365 Purview
“For legacy data ingestion we’ll typically setup several servers to process the data in the required timeframe. For this client we used 12 servers and it took about two weeks to process everything into Microsoft Purview.” says Tom Sinistore, VP Sales.
17a-4’s DataParser Cloud infrastructure is scalable ensuring client data can be processed by a deadline.
From the client perspective, the time to set up the process is minimal – working with 17a-4 Support to build the initial configuration with preferred features and output. 17a-4 Support then builds out the other configurations to match and enables processing.
DataParser tracks the amount of data processed. Updates are provided to clients throughout the project with the associated costs.
Since this project included sending into M365 Purview, the client had the option with DataParser to either send all content into users’ mailboxes or into static mailboxes according to their business needs.
The handling of large files pulled from Slack is also seamless – using DataParser’s integration with Azure Blob and SharePoint. Clients can choose where they want to store large files including videos and recordings.
Deployed globally managing millions of messages a day for enterprise communication systems, DataParser is designed for a verifiable chain of custody and regulatory compliance. Archiving data for SEC/FINRA compliance, security, HR, remote work, IP, legal or business policies are all common use cases. Financial firms, Government agencies, Education, Energy and Healthcare organizations all use DataParser.
DataParser supports delivery to a wide range of archive and eDiscovery platforms, including Microsoft 365 Purview, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Google Vault, Archive360, Azure Blob, AWS storage and other enterprise destinations. Organizations may deploy DataParser in the cloud or on premise depending on security and operational requirements.
DataParser support for Votacall is generally available today. Organizations can contact 17a-4 to discuss licensing, deployment options, and technical requirements. Like all modules of DataParser, free trials are always available.
